All have been updated. Some, as always were more cooperative than others!
We are having a ball left to our own devices and a few toys while the Turkey and all the fixin's are in the works. Things are smelling really good around here but she says "not this year" -something about our bellies being too immature? Bahumbug we say but it seems to no avail. Maybe next year..... Happy Thanksgiving! Yeehaw! Week seven pup pages are complete! I was down do the wire but week seven actually posted on week seven. :-)
I've had a chance to meet all but two of you and feel awesome about the families preparing to take over the care of my babes! A nice group of people I must say and meeting you was a nice change from the atmosphere of politics we've been subjected to of late. I think I got some pretty good shots of everybody... except Dozer. He had no interest in anything other than my feet today! I'll take him out first next week and make sure to get some good ones of him even if it means I have to wait until he wears out and falls asleep. Soon each of you will be behind the camera and when you snap your shots please remember, I care about these pups and photos and updates not only bring a smile to my face, they serve to assure me they're doing well. Please include me as your pups mature and age. With that it's goodnight and.... have a great weekend! Congrats to Ryan, Lindsey and Joe and Ellie who now officially know which pups to call their own. Ryan got the ball rolling with his choice of Green now known as Bishop. Lindsey chose Purple and has named her Hallie and Joe and Ellie claimed Red. They will call him Bucca! Next up Barbara and Amy who plan to arrive Friday. I've got a ton of photos I took last week that I shot with the pups out in groups of twos. I'll work on putting some slide shows together this evening and plan to get started on a new set of weekly photos tomorrow. We're getting down to the wire as the pups turn seven weeks old today. The pups had a great time bouncing around as a group today and it was a pleasure for me to get a chance to see and meet the people anxiously waiting to make my babes part of their family.
And now it's time to grab the camera and get ready to post the six week shots. I've pretty well mastered the basics of the new camera and I'm loving it! Should have gotten it a long time ago!!! I struggled for a while as I tried to get my Mac to recognize the camera but after a call to both Canon and Mac I was on my way. Hopefully we'll have no additional glitches. I plan to spend a lot of time outside the rest of the week exposing your pups to all types of new experiences and adventures. I'll take them out in both small groups and the group as the whole. It's time to play and I'm very much looking forward to it. :-)
I don't know how all of you fared with the presidential race and the election itself but I for one am thrilled it's over. Maybe now I can get some sleep. What a rollercoaster ride it was! I'm sure it will, in no time flat, be the subject of a variety of books and likely a movie or two allowing us to relive the nightmare when ever we choose. But for now, it's back to our regularly scheduled program... or some semblance of it anyway. So... I know you're all anxious to hear something about plans for pup selection. I spoke with both Ryan and Lindsey today and have set times to get the selection process underway. I'll likely be making a couple calls tomorrow as well but as it stands both Ryan and Lindsey plan to be here Wednesday the 16th. That will give me time to get another set of photos up for everyone to study and it will allow Red's eye a little more time to heal. As I mentioned before I had been treating him with an antibiotic after taking him in to the Vet. Unfortunately though, we saw little improvement. Our second trip to the Vet took him off antibiotics and on to a course of Anti-fungals. I'm happy to report they seem to be working. I'm hoping his eye will essentially be returned to normal or very close by the time pup selections begin. With that I'll close, get a few hours of sleep -and once refreshed proceed with the process of rearing. GN. |
